Covermark Brightening Makeup Base

Haven't been doing any makeup products reviews for a while.  Thought that since I had my makeup base with me, i would blog about it.

Introducing COVERMARK's brightening makeup base.....

Apply a tweeny weeny bit of the base and you can see instantanous results on your face.  Although the instructions was to spread the base all over your face, i find that too much of it actually make your whole face shine.  Thus i will usually apply on my forehead, bridge of my nose (to make it look sharper) and on my cheekbones.

The base simply powers up your foundation! It enhances radiant skin, conceals pores and dullness with its three types of pearly powders!  Besides this, it is SPF 33, PA++, thus offers sun protection as well.

Baby Steps

It is never easy to learn something.  Be it learning a language, learning a new craft or just simply (perhaps the most difficult of all) learning the way of life.

Life poses many challenges (good and bad) to us constantly.  To learn how to deal with it is never easy.  Of cos, good challenges are always welcome readily by individuals and accepted wholeheartedly.  Challenges that are on the tougher side is always frown upon.  However, if we change our perspective and view these challenges as something that will enrich our lives, would life be more beautiful?

Just like Bb A when he is learning how to walk.  His first push from the floor is filled with tremors and effort.  However, there seemed no grumbles on his part.  To him, this is a challenge.  But a challenge which is necessary if he wants to start walking.  He tries again and again, falling on his heavily padded bum.  Finally, he was able to make it up on his own effortlessly.

Next, comes cruising from point to point.  With his wobbly feet, he tried to shift his feet which seemed to be ladden with weights.  Slowly but surely, he progressed.  And now, we are waiting for his first walk without anyaid.  Isn't life beautiful?

Benefit Dallas Ultra Plush Lip Gloss

The sides of my lip has always been slightly on the darker side, making it difficult for me to wear nude lip colour.

Two months ago, I chanced upon a gorgeous nude lip colour which could sufficiently cover up the dark patches.  Introducing Benefit's Dallas Ultra Plush Lip Gloss.

The gloss is uber smooth and glides onto your lips easily, leaving you with a silky aftermath.

My haul at Coach outlet IMM

1st May was Labour Day public holiday in Singapore.  We went to IMM for lunch and chanced upon the Coach outlet having additional 30% discount on top on their existing discounts.  Since the queue was rather short, my mum and I decided to queue to browse at their bags.

Went in without the intention to buy (oh well...maybe yes...i intend to see if they have nice sling bags) and came out with three items

The sunglass was in an irresistable purple shade which i had to buy....anyways i do not have a pair of sunnies so all the more justifiable, yah?

I have been eyeing on this COACH KRISTIN WOVEN LEATHER ROUND SATCHEL (bottom left) since last year.  But the price prevented me from buying it.  Now that it is on sale, after about 59% discount, i was glad i waited out for this.

MOF @ My Mizakaya

My first visit to MOF @ My Mizakaya was with I when I went for my gyneacologist visit after delivery.  He is a fan of Japanese food and I love the decor over there so we decided to give this restaurant a shot.

We did not regret.  Good food, reasonably priced for some.

There was a newly opened a branch at TB plaza and I went there for lunch.

My all time favourite has to be their avocado & toufu salad.  Creamy avocado, cold toufu and crunchy almond bits to tease your tastebuds.  Oh yes, of course not forgetting the nice wasabi inspired mayo. 超赞!

Ice Edge Cafe

Last Saturday, we were at kovan area and chanced upon this quaint little cafe tuck at the corner of Lowland Road.  It is a small cafe with about 30 seats at most and frequent by residents staying around there.  Casual Italian dining.  I have their seafood aglio olio with chilli and it was delicious.  Not too oily and salty and the pasta was cooked to perfection.  Unfortunately i was too busy eating with one hand and carrying A on my the other arm and I totally forgot to take a picture of the fabulous pasta.

My 'ang mo' elder son didhis usual soup, main course and dessert.  He had mushroom soup which was thick, creamy and full of mushrooms.  Fish and chips was so - so.  But boy! His dessert was good.  He had brownie with a dollop of ice cream on top.  D and I was fighting with him over the dessert.

Happy Mothers' Day

I usually makes me Mothers' Day card.  This year's card is extra lovely with my favourite animal in it.  It also shows how I has progressed tremendously in his art and craft.

Teochew sliced fish porridge

My mum's signature teochew fish porridge is simply delish.  After months of observing, i decided to cook this dish on a very hot Saturday evening for dinner.  Nature goodness and of course soupy stuff is always one of my favourite!

Steps to a steaming bowl of teochew sliced fish porridge:

1. Cook some steam rice (the rice should be 3/4 cooked)
2. Boil a pot of fish stock using fish bones for an hour
3. Add sliced fish (i use Batang fish, marinate with sesame oil and soya sauce)
4. Bring to a boil
5. Add cubed toufu and rice
6. Simmer for 3 minutes
7. Add tomato, turn on high heat.  Bring to boil
8. Switch off the fire, add shredded lettuce and fried shallots

Welcome to i see. i hear. i feel i blog

My blogging dated back one decade ago.  At the peak of my blogging days, I had three blogs ; one for my food adventures, one for my daily life recordings and one for my stay in China (sina cos somehow the great firewall of China blocked blogspot and livejournal)

Ten years on....i decided that i should consolidate all into one.  Pen all thoughts and post all pictures in one blog.  Categorise them neatly with tags.  Hey the neat freak in me is showing up again.

So here I am ....in the year of 2013...with my brand new blog on everything and anything....i see. i hear. i feel. i blog.

G'Day!
